"Dr. Helling seems to have a thriving bariatric practice based on the number of obese patients waiting to be seen at his office. He has a team of nurses, nutritionist and other staff.
The doctor (in his early 30's) seemed very professional and sympathetic to my condition. The intial visit was only about 5 minutes. Not much time to ask or receive much information. I am, however, scheduled for a more extensive meeting prior to the surgery date. I can not provide much more information about him. Seems to be a very nice man.
A few days prior to the operation, I spoke with the doctor's staff dietition and his RN who will be following me during my stay in recovery room. Both ladies were absolute sweethearts. Both were jam-packed with good information. The doctors staff is finishing their own "patient's manual" on bariatric proceedures, pre and post op. They assured me that I will receive a copy. I have seen a few pages and it looks very informative.
