Hello Aimee - I just read your post to the board and I have to say, I don't blame you one bit. I'm a FIRM BELIEVER that a positive outlook and positive thoughts is a big step in the recovery outcome. Sometimes....I guess it's human nature? ...we tend to dwell on the negative and whining so much that it can be all consuming! I understand completely your need to "step away" from it. CONGRATULATIONS on your upcoming surgery! What a happy and important day for you. One that you have more then earned and you so well deserve. I look forward to reading all the wonderful and exciting changes that you will be blessed with as you begin to make your journey to the healthier side! It is time to start living life for YOU, and this surgery is just the first step of many to come that will lead you in that direction. Embrace life, meet it head on, keep your head held high and a smile on your face. My prayers and best wishes are with you. Hugs & Aloha, Lei

Aimee, just in case you get the nerve up to peek in one more time before surgery--please don't let the bad news get you down. Keep those positive spirits up, because it's a MUST in recovering sucessfully from surgery. Know that there are tons of people "here" (WLS cyberspace) that will be praying for you and wishing you nothing but good luck and a speedy recovery.

Dear Aimee, I have not seen you on line yet today and I know after talking with you the other day that you were pretty down. I want to you know that I am always there for you and thank you for being there for me too. Keep busy and focus on the date but try not to get too down on yourself for going backwards at times or not doing as well as you would have liked. Everyday is new and a chance to start again. I know your Mom would be so proud of all that you are doing and especially for the wonderful mother you are. You are so compassionate to others and so kind to those who need you but don't forget about yourself too. My emotions were so wacky at times I just wanted to hide from everyone. I see now how much I have changed and even at times miss those extra little naps I used to have to take just to make it through the day. Your life will be changing so much in January but you must also live in the present and find a way to love who you are now and you will find that everything will look better. The closer the date gets the more stressed things may get. Take a walk or some time alone to write theses things down so in a year from now you can look back and see how much you have changed. I love you and wish you all the happiness that is possible. Anne
