Hi Heather, I'll be praying for you. It's really great that your dad had this before you so you know what to expect. Hopefully you won't have trouble with blood clots. Do ankle pumps even when you go home. Good luck, Mary

Heather, I am wishing you a safe, complication-free surgery and a quick, smooth recovery. I had my open RNY on Dec. 10, 2001 and have absolutely NO regrets other than not having done it several years sooner. I can honestly say that this was, without a doubt, the best thing I could have done for myself and my health. God bless you as you start your new, healthier life.
