I got the go ahead toda from my insurance company so it looks like my surgery will be scheduled around the end of July sometime... I"m so excited.............

my paperwork is finally finished and chris at restart has faxed it all to bc/bs, i finally feel like i ahave accomplished something....... been sick to my stomach alot in the last two weeks .. alot of vomiting, especially in the am...... glad i am to old to think about anything else..but then you have to get exposed....lol    hope all have a wonderful weekend.   nancy

The hubby thought he was doing me a favor and bought me some sugar-free ice cream with sorbitol in it.. Well let me tell you I haven't been able to stay out of the bathroom for 3 days... and am so tired, sore and weak.  After reading the side effects of sorbitol, I understand why?  We finally called the doctor and got some medicine and today I feel like I may live again.

April 22, 2009..The time seems to be flying by.  I have been on my monitored diet for 5 months, I have lost 15 lbs, I have seen the psyxho man and asnswered his 567 questions to see if I qualify for surgery.  He said I do and am even halfway normal.LOL  i have had my initial meeting with the dietician.  Also have had all my tests done at the cardiologist and talked to my diabetes doctoe about the surgery.  Everyone seems to be in agreement that it is the thing to do.  Even Larry  has come on board and seems excited about me losong weight for the first time in our married life. My first appointment witht eh surgeon is May 14th and then we are going after the indurance approval and a date.  I am both excited and scared.

THIS IS A NEW PROCESS FOR ME, BUT I AM SO SICK AND TIRED OF BEING FAT.... I AMNOW DISABLED AND UNABLE TO DO MOST OF THE THINGS I USE TO DO. I HAVE FEW FRIENDS AND LITTLE ENCOURAGEMENT SO ANY YOU CAN SHARE WILL HELP.  I HAVE BEEN ON MY 6 MONTHS OF DIESTING FOR 3 MONTHS NOW AND HOPE THIS GETS MOVING SOON... I AM SURE THE HARDEST WILL BE MY INSURANCE COMPANY'S APPROVAL. I AM 59 AND HAVE 4 WONDERFUL GRANSONS I WANT TO SEE GROW UP AND BECOME YOUNG MEN.. I HAVE A WONDERFUL HUSBAND THAT I WORRY ABOUT HAVING TO TAKE CARE OF ME, MOVE ME AROUND ETC..... GOOD LUCK TO ALL OF YOU OUT THERE ON YOUR PATH TO THE NEW YOU!
