Endoscopy

I had my endoscopy today, and my throat is a little raw. Not intolerable, but kind of feels like when you scald your tongue- like it's hairy and you can't taste anything.... but it feels like that for a ways down my throat. The docs found out I have a pyloric ulcer and gastritis, and they gave me meds to take care of them. I dropped off the short-term disability paperwork my physician needs to take care of so that I can get paid while I'm off work. I'll have to call in a few days and make sure they took care of it and also to see if they received the paperwork from Dr. Biggs ofc. I have a feeling I'm gonna have to stay on top of those offices and make sure they're doing what needs to be done to keep things on schedule.

Today I had my consult with the surgeon. Much to my shock, my surgery was scheduled for Dec. 12, 2006! I thought for sure I'd have to wait until Feb. or March of next year, but for some reason they offered me an appt much earlier! Now the count down begins... 24 days left! I'm so excited, and a little nervous. I don't think it's all quite sunk in yet. There's so much to do in the next few days.... food to purchase, physical exams to have, time off to arrange at work, THANKSGIVING, oh, and did I mention... finals at school?! I feel so blessed that this is happening for me so quickly.
