Hi Everyone
I'm 50 years old and have been married 29 years. I have had knee problems for the last 2-3 years to the point now that I have to use a walker and sometimes a wheelchair. I finally decided in July 2009 that it was time for WLS. I attended Dr. Stewart's seminar and decided the DS was for me. We called the next day to set my first appointment. I had my surgery Nov. 16, 2009 and I am so glad I did. I have wonderful family and friends who have supported my decision. My husband has been my biggest support. He has helped me so much. I have 2 stepsons and a niece whom I consider mine. She also is one of my biggest supporters. She came down from Oklahoma and stayed with me at the hospital 24 hrs. a day till I was released. Then she took me home with her and continued to take care of me for the next 3 weeks so my husband could work. I had a smooth surgery and recovery. I'm 4 months out and have lost 60lbs. The DS surgery has been a blessing for me!
