A new normal

Nov 22, 2012

I am home!! Surgery went exceptionally well..had a slight problem with meds right after but once they were switched, it made a world of difference. I still have an overall feeling of soreness (which is to be expected) but am so happy that i followed through with this life changing decision. I expected the drive home (3 hours) to be unbearable..but it honestly wasn't that bad. Since being here, i have focused on walking/ breathing/ eating and drinking super slowly/ trying to get my protein in but mostly..making sure that i am getting enough rest because i am the kind of person who wants to jump back into life. I want to thank everyone here for the positive thoughts and prayers sent my way. I know i still have a long road to walk but im embracing this new normal and im encouraged by the amount of support you all show as i travel on it. Im heading back to sleep after i walk a bit but wanted to make sure to check in before i ran out of energy =)

talk to everyone again soon
