Garys
I have struggled with my weight most of my life. I come from an obese family. After High school, I joined the Army Guard and lost weight in Army Basic and advanced school. Over the years my weight crept back up on me. I tried to lose it the best I could even to the point running up to 6 miles a day. Eventually the weight won and I was discharged from the Military.
Since I was no longer required to try to stay thin, I got a bit out of control and started gaining weight rapidly. 15 Years later and I am 200 pounds or more over my Ideal weight.
The straw that broke the camels back came over two years ago. I woke in the middle of the night with a feeling that I was drowning in my own body. I had undiagnosed sleep apnea but just the feeling that I would soon die in my sleep caused me to re-think how I was living my life.
Two years ago I made a decision to pursue WLS. Finances prevented it until early this year.
I am counting down to a new Life!
