Hello Elizabeth - Congratulations, how excited you must be right now? After all the months of waiting, researching, healing, etc, to finally be able to see the "results" on the scales is nothing short of fantastic. I've been through it myself and I know it's a long and hard journey but I also know the rewards more then outweigh the obstacles. When the weight finally starts to come off you regain a new and wonderful sense of freedom. It puts all the challenges along the way into perspective and you realize with each pound you've lost, inner strength was regained. Remember to <b>CELEBRATE</b> all the "special moments" along the way, big or small.  Too many people focus only on <i>numbers</i>, ie. pounds lost.  There are so many "moments" to look forward to and embrace on this journey - don't let any of them slip by.   Enjoy your new healthier life, you've more then earned it!!   <i> "The key to happiness is dreams, the key to success is making those dreams come true"</i> .....Hugs and Smiles : )

Liz, read your post and got excited all over again for you. I remember when I first could go thru a turnstile frontwards, too, and what a thrill it was! I wish you lots more big (and little) victories!

Elizabeth that is my dream! To be able to just stroll right on thru. A bunch of us go to Joyce Meyers' conference in Winston Salem NC each year and I always make them open the door for me because I'm so afraid I'll get stuck. I just got approved so I believe by next March I'll be doing the "thingy" stroll right on me. Congrats to you!

I made it! Had some difficulties, but otherwise am not on the losing side. I want to thank Renee Desrosiers so very much for keeping you all posted and building up my confidence in myself. She has been truly an Angel and I love her to death. Right now I am still tired, but otherwise getting and feeling better daily. I have trouble sleeping at night but the medicine Dr. Reines prescribed helps a great deal. Thanks again to everyone for their well wishes, it meant alot to me. Liz

Just got back from visiting Liz in the hospital. Her open RNY surgery was Thursday but had a few complications. Got out of ICU on Friday and now looks FABULOUS. Dealing with water weight gain, feeling hot (no fever) and some of the usual maladies that make our hospital stays SO pleasant but she has a great attitude! She is supposed to be released Tuesday but she is campaigning for Monday. Thanks for your kind wishes.
