Hello I 'm Ed,
I'm 47 and been battling obesity all my life. I was always the fat kid, always picked last in school gym class. I remember how I hated gym glass, and how mean people can be. Then as the years past society did not change much, from the TV, magazine and people look us as lazy stupid and sometimes invisible. Most of that time I wish I was.
I have been like most of us on one type of diet or another some with success and the yoyo effect. I had some success and few years ago, I was over 400lbs and even lost 164 lbs to my lowest weight of 236. Now I am at 303 and after a lot of soul, searching it is time to change my life and that is why I started my journey.
The thing that I always thought was funny; some of these people must also think we are deaf. I was amazed that people would make comments to each other about large people. For a long time I would let bother me, until the day I walked up to someone, and said "If you're that concerned that I may eat everything here! Please go ahead and order before!" They did know what to say or do, and then they left. I realized how ignorant people could be, and I do feel sorry for them.
I made the decision to move on with my life, to start this journey, because I'm worth it. One day I will look back, and be glad I changed my life and left the past in the past.
