My Story
I have beeen big pretymuch all of my life did not slow me down much i was a pretty active person in life farming and runnin my own business till i blowed a disk in my back when i was 27 which did not slow me down but for a few months till i had recovered from my back fussion. Then it was back to work running my farm and rach till i lost my first wife suddenly this set me back and i drank and ate too much putting on more weight over the next few years but i still worked hard and remarried again to only have that come apart with her death a few months after we were married she had asma and had acode blue when they have had too much inhalermeds we were remodeling my house wich is very old and too much dust. Well guess what i ate more and drank more and smoked more for a couple of years all the time running my business. I then met a wonderful lady with two girls and married her but i continued to gain weight but still felt good and was happy till my farming started to fall apart then i went to work in town and farmed at night and on weekends i just about had things going well for me when i injured my back again near my priory back fussion and they ran a buch of test only to find out that i had lots of arthritus buldup growing in my old fusion causing th nurve in my legs to not work right. So i gave up my farm after 25 years not a easy thin to do i bought a business in town just to keep busy but the longer i ran it the more overweight i became and soon had to pull my legs in my pickup at night so we sold that busness not easy and i got on ssi almost two years ago.
I had originaly started looking into weight loss surgury in 2005 but had given up because my insurance would not cover it after i quit working and got on ssi my wife got me in touch with voc rehab for people wanting to get back to work and after a year and a half my surgury happened thanks a great part to my voc rehab counsler here. everything happened so fast then i saw Dr. Hachem on the 27 of January 2010 and was scedualed for surgury on march 9th wich was sucesfull i have lost 20lbs sense surgury but have lost a total of 70lbs from my first visit to see Dr. Hachem he put me on a diet before surgury because i had such a high bmi. I am now trying to get my life back in order so i can go back to work someday i have two wondeful kids and four beauteful grandkids that i would like to see more and play with and teach to fish over the next few years. that is pretty much my life up till now i just have to get through the after surgury Depression and see if i can find a place in this world again.
