Down to just one drain!  Had my second post op visit today.  I'm still extremely swollen but the bruising on my thighs is starting to go from black and blue to yellow.  I also went to physical therapy today and had the bruises massaged to get the blood moving through the area and reduce the swelling.  A portion of the TT incision is red and irritated.  We are going to neosporin it within an inch of its life but I did receive a script for antibiotics in case it doesn't resolve in another day or so.  Dr. Zweifler said I need to wait another week before she'll even discuss clearing me to get back on the bike but walks are ok at this point.

In September 2009, I began looking at surgeons to remove some lipoma that had grown to the size of golf balls in both of my hips and decided to do some outer thigh lipo at the same time.  My outer thighs were really the only visibly disproportionate place I had fat deposits.  Dr. Kurian recommended Dr. Michelle Zweifler along with two other PS.  Dr. Zweifler accepts BCBS, has done many post massive weight loss reconstructive procedures and was two blocks away from my office so along with having an impressive set of post-op pictures, the stars were aligning in her direction.  

At my PS consult she agreed that the outer thigh lipo would yield good results but strongly recommended that I do a tummy tuck at the same time.  My abs were in great shape from my working out and she argued that a single recovery would be a smarter choice.  I saw her the day before Thanksgiving and we scheduled the procedures for December 17th.  With her assistance, we were able to get the TT covered by BCBS so I expect to be out of pocket about $5,000 all in for the lipo.
