Hi, Colette: I just wanted to say congratulations on quitting smoking; I know it's hard, but you CAN do it! You might not get any support from your biological family, but I'm sure you'll find plenty from your AMOS family! I'm in sort-of the same boat, only my addiction is to soda. I tried to quit cold-turkey, but I was about to fall asleep at my desk! The caffeine withdrawal was too much, so my doctor and I agreed that it would be better for me to wean myself off a little more slowly. I'm scheduled for surgery on August 19th of this year, so this week I'll have 44 oz. of diet coke to sip on during the day instead of my usual 64 oz. I know it sounds like alot, but I fill up this huge mug and just sip it all day long. So now, I'll do my 44 oz. and drink water the rest of the day (I notice I sleep better now) and then will go down to 32 oz. for a couple weeks, until I'm able to drink all water without falling asleep at my keyboard!! LOL Anyway, sorry this is so long, I just wanted to wish you lots of luck on your surgery and with quitting smoking. God Bless!
