Sorry,  I have been a very bad girl.   I have not posted since my six months.  It was a year 1/16 and I have lost 136 pounds.  I have 3 children and 2 of those got married.  The middle child who is Brian got married on Oct 8th to a Heather Williams and we are gonna our first grandbaby in April.  Our oldest who is also Heather was married on Dec 8th to Jared and now they live in Myrtle Beach.  I have to say I was so proud at their weddings.  I was thin, not skinny but a lot thinner than I would have been had I not had this wonderful surgery.  I am feeling so much better, my health is so much better and my self esteem is awesome.   I never thought I would like myself again.  I love being around people now.  This is a whole new life and my family loves the new me.  The best part is seeing people who haven't seen me in over a year.  They back up and their mouths fall open and they jump up and hug me.  It's wonderful.  
I will try and do better about my posting. 

Well, I made it.  I have lost 101 pounds.  Wow what a wonderful journey this has been.  It has been worth every minute and still have 45 more pounds to go to get to my goal.  My family and friends are all so proud of me and I am proud of me too.  I have never been able to say that about myself before.  I love buying the smaller clothes, no more plus size area for me.  I can find all kinds of clothes for me know.  I will check in next month.

Well, I have hit the 5 month and the weight loss has slowed.  I have only lost 84 pds.  I need to kick it up a knotch.. But I think I am losing more inches now, things are fitting really different.  Will update again next month.  We had an awesome vacation.  We left on June 1st on our motorcycle and headed west, we stopped at Sedona, AZ, the Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam, Las vegas, LA, Santa Monica, Malibu and Santa Barbara and then we headed back to GA.  Got home on te 12th.  It was a blast.....

I have lost 75 pds and I feel wonderful.  It is so amazing how much better I feel.  My knees don't hurt anymore and the energy that I have is so awesome.  My family and friends are so proud of me and my hubby says everyday that I am melting away.  That is a good feeling.  It's funny how other people treat you so different also.  I am in XL tops and 18 pants from 26 pants and 3x tops... Skin isn't too saggy either, maybe it's coming off slow enough that the skin is catching up.  Only 75 more to go.  Well until next month.!!

I have lost 64 pounds as of today and I feel great.  The only thing is the hair loss is really bothering me because my hair is very thin anyways.  I can move around so much better.  My husband and I purchased a new motorcycle because he is going to take me on a road trip out west to see the Grand Canyon and Las Vegas.  We leave on June 1 and I would love to be down 75lbs by then.  I have only been out of GA a few times so this will be an experience for me.
My friends and family are noticing my weight loss and it makes me feel so good.  It's funny though, my 26 pants are falling off but I can't quite get the 20's to meet because of my big tummy.  I guess I should just be patient, or that is what the hubby says anyway.  At least the tops are 1x or XL now....

Well I am at 8 weeks today and as of this morning I have lost 44 pounds.  I am not sure if that is good or not.  It sounds good, but it also sounds like it's coming off slow.  I guess that is good because I do not have a lot of saggy skin, my weigth loss is giving my skin time to catch up I guess.  My goal is to be down 75 pounds by the time my son graduates from High School which will be May 25th!!!  Keep your fingers crossed.

Well, this has been an experience, I am down 30 pds as of today.  Hard to believe 4 weeks ago today, right now, I was in pretty bad shape.  Today I feel good, my knees don't hurt anymore and I can see the weight loss.  I think I am pretty much on track with the weigth loss but not sure.  I am ready for some more food though!!  This is all so worth it and even with my problems after surgery, ask me now and I will tell you pretty quickly that it is all worth it.  I feel so much better, it's just amazing!!  Will write more next month.

I am on the other side finally!!!   I had a little bit of difficulty getting here but I made it.  The day of surgery 1/16 was good everything went according to the plan, they took me back on time and I was in my room by noon.... I had a hard time waking up.  I remember people coming in and speaking to them but I could not wake up.  I kept telling myself to wake up so you can get up and walk.  Well about 9pm the nurses ask me if I was ready to get up and I said sure, well I sat on the side of the bed and looked at husband told him the room was spinning and the next thing I knew I was up in the bed and they were asking me if I was okay, I fainted.  They tried again later and I fainted again.  So about 4 am, the tech came into take my BP and she couldn't find it.  They had all kinds of RN's in there trying to find my BP, they finally got it with a doppler it was 73/44.  They called the Doc and he said get me some blood he was on the way, they gave me a unit.  I couldn't wake up but I could hear them all around me.  Finally around 7 am he decided he had to go back in and find out what was bleeding, after a 3 hours surgery they found that my spleen had been torn, he repaired it , gave me 3 more units of blood and 2 units of plasma and sent me out  to ICU for 2 days.  I had so many IV's in me it wasn't funny and they kept getting infiltrated.  My arms and hands were huge.  Well, finally came on on Sunday they 21st with the Jvac and it sure was nice to be home.  I went back to work on the 30th for 3 hours and will just go and work as the energy comes back.  At least I am alive!!!
So preop on 1/5/07 I was at 306 and today I am at 283, I guess that is pretty good, I just have to find a protein shake that I can tolerate. 

Well I made it through pre-op but not before Dr Richard got a hunk of money out of me, (new year, new deductible) that went smoothly and then over to Lanier Park where they hit me up for some money.  Oh well, I guess everything went okay, I have to be at the hospital at 8am for surgery at 10am on January 16, 2007.   I am starting to get nervous.  I have always done well in the past with surgery but this one is making me more nervous than usual.  I know I will be okay, my family will be with me.  I am worried that too many of them will show up and the hospital will have to run them off, but that is okay, I know I am loved and supported.
I guess I will post afterwards on the other side !!

I heard on Friday that I am approved and I wanted to share with everyone.  My pre op is Jan 5th and my surgery date is Jan 16th.  Please keep sending up the prayers for me.  I am so excited, too excited to be nervous yet.
