I am a 43 mother of 3 grown children. They are 23, 19 and 18 and I am married 25 years to my high school sweetie. He is the most understanding man in the whole world. I have all of there support with this WLS. I started looking into it about a year ago and then my cousin contacted me and informed me that she was having it so I got a little more excited and as of 10/17/06 my paperwork was submitted. It's been 5 days and I have yet to hear anything. I am at 303 and my BMI is 48.9. I have sleep apnea, bad knees and ankles. I had a mild stroke in 1998 suffering only numbness on the right side of my body and I have to take blood thinners the rest of my life. I know be obese can also increase the risk of more strokes. I want to live a long life with my one true love and be around to enjoy my grandbabies that I hope to have one day in the future. But at my present rate, I won't be around long. I hope to hear something soon!!!!
