Cari F.
It's now 2 years after my last post - August 2010. I'm up to 250 now and am trying to get back on track. I'm anemic and low on magnesium. Supplementing with magnesium, calcium, vit. D, vit B complex and Iron. My hope is to get rid of the fatigue, get back to better eating habits and better nutrition. Lower my sugar intake too. Still down 120 pounds and for that I'm thankful!
=======================================
It's been almost 6 years now. Total lost was 170 and I've kept 140 off. I'd like to be 60 pounds lighter but am ok where I am. My energy level is great. Can walk almost anywhere without having to catch my breath. I can eat almost anything except milk. Its frustating to be able to eat sugar but that is how my body is.
I've done everything I'm not supposed to - eat too many carbs, not enough protein, not taken my vitamins or portien supplements and I can tell. I'm doing better at focusing on eating protein and go in for B12 shots. Getting back on track with vitamins is my main focus right now.
I weigh occassionally and stay within 5 pounds of 230 (hard to believe I'm happy with that but its much better than 370
).
The first 3 years were very emotional - wondering why I wasn't a size 2 yet, why I wasn't under 200. Still feeling fat, unhealthy and awkward. The past 3 years have been very satisfying. Havn't worried about getting below 200, am satisfied with my clothes, am happy to indulge occasionally without feeling guilty. I'm glad I can't eat like I used to - even though I tollerate sugar, I don't want very much at a time.
Satisfaction comes much earlier than it did before. There are times I wonder if my pouch has stretched too much - so much food can go in at times. Other times it's like the first week - 1 or 2 bights and I'm full. Think it all depends on what I'm eating. Chicken definately fills me up faster than mashed potatoes :).
Well, that's where I am 6 years later.
Best wishes to you!
