It's hard to believe it but 7 years later and I'm still doing well! I won't lie...it hasn't been an easy road but I wouldn't change anyrhing. In the past 5 years....i met my soulmate and will be getting married October 2015. Well wishes for the new year!

I made it! January 2nd was my one year anniversary since I started my adventure.  I was 228 lbs. when I started (actually I was 240 lbs. a few months prior to having wls) and wore a size 22 pant and xxl shirts and took @ 10 medications for all my ailments.  As of Jan 7, 2009 I am at 138 lbs., wearing a size 6 pant, sm to med. shirt, and off ALL meds!  What a wonderful ride it has been!  I can even walk into Victoria's Secret now and not feel embarassed or wonder "Do they have my size?" LOL  Even though I am going through my divorce...I feel great!  My stbx had the RNY surgery 3 years ago and let his ego get to him.  If there is one piece of advice I can give anyone, it is to not forget where you came from. Learn from this journey and remember why you did it.  Did you do it so you could REALLY play with your kids or your grandkids?  Did you do it to be healthy?  Some people have this surgery and they take their addiction to food and just transfer it to other things like drinking, smoking, sex (affairs), drugs, etc.  This surgery is not 'the easy way out'.  Be ready mentally for it.  Turn to your friends for support.

Ok...so I've been totally lazy about checking my OH stuff!  I've been having a really rough time right now with the divorce and all.  The holidays aren't helping either.  I'm down to 138 lbs. and wearing a size 6!  (I wore that in highschool).  My one year anniversary is Jan 2.  I am happy I've acheived a healthy weight.  Now all I need to do is meet a man who is worth having a relationship with and is not a cheater, liar, devoted.  Do they exist? LOL  Hope you all have a happy holiday!

This has been the best decision I have ever made!  I feel great.  I am down to 140 lbs. and a size 6-8 pants!  My health is great and so are my spirits.  Unfortunately, I am in the process of a divorce but thats ok.  The future has so much more to offer.  To a new beginning....

Since Jan 2, 2008, I have lost 75 lbs!  I feel so great right now.  I can shop at a 'normal' store now.  I actually was able to buy some clothes in the junior department the other day! 

I have felt this great in such a long time!!! I have lost 52 lbs since Jan. 2, 2008 and feel great.  I getting better at the new eating lifestyle.  I did get stenosis and had to have the little hole stretched out with a balloon.  Very simple treatment and no pain what so ever.  I feel ssoooooooo much better since they fixed it.
