Most of you know my story because it's similar to yours.  I was a skinny child who developed early and was raised by a weight-nazi.  (Love you mom)!  I went on my first diet at 13 and yo-yo'd from then on.  I've tried most of the commercial diets and even a medically supervised liquid diet.  Each time I lost a lot of weight and after 2 or 3 years would gain it all back and then some.  Two years ago I went through a difficult divorce and it forced me to take stock of my life.  I retired from my super-stressful job and began a second career in a much more flexible, Christian atmosphere.  I am ready now to take control of my weight and not use it as a crutch or excuse to hide from life.  I will be 50 in August, and would love to give myself a second chance to be healthy.

I have my first exam on June 4th and hopefully things will progress from there to surgery.  Keep me in your prayers.
