Dec 06, 2006
Someone in my local area recently passed away. She had WLS a year ago. She passed away 2 weeks ago from carbination. That is all that was told to me. Can anyone elaborate on this?
smoking and WLS

I know this sounds very stupid, but was wondering, why - exactly - do you have to quit smoking to have WLS. Will your lungs collapse during surgery? Does it cause probs with the anestethic? The Dr. I want to go to says I have to quit for 6mo before he'll even consider me. Then there's another Dr. who'll work with me now, but ofcourse, says I have to quit before surgery. I was just curious the exact reason why.
