May, 2007 - Well, I can definitely say that I am not happy anymore. I went thru all three appeal level with my insurance compay since Dr. Anthone wanted to do a Pannis removal surgery before performing the actual Gastric surgery. Of course I got denied since my insurance company believes that it is for cosmetic reasons...yea right! So all of this took a little over a year...we I just discovered that my company changed the particular plan and now the "plan" doesn't cover Gastric surgery at all. It was covered last year..but not this year. I called Dr Anthone and explained that if he would have just performed the Gastric surgery, then I wouldn't be in this situation. I spoke to Dr Sudan and he said that he would do the Gastric first and then wait for 18 months and then remove the pannis. I feel really cheated. I emailed my HR person about the change since we were all told that there were no changes made to the insurance.
