Hi Tiff! I'm was so glad to see your smiling face on the Message Board this morning! Yay~~You made it to the "other side"!!! You sounded so great when I spoke to you in the hospital, I knew you'd be FINE AND DANDY when you got home!
The "back sleeping" was hard for me, too. I used a big long body pillow and was able to sleep on my RIGHT side only (due to the Lap) for about a week and a half, and then was able to sleep on both sides, and after a couple of weeks, I could sleep on my stomach! I was relieved! Don't worry, you will get there too! *Smile*
Take good care of yourself and try to enjoy your time off as much as possible! BTW, your Mom called my work and left a message after your surgery to say you had done well! She was SO DARN CUTE! Tell her I said thanks! *Love Your Guts*

I AM FINALLY A LOSER!! I'm home and I'm doing great. I feel awesome. I have no regrets. I had a great hospital experience. I'm so glad to be home. I expected to feel much worse. I have my aches and pains but I think that overall I am doing absolutely wonderful. I was only in the hospital for 2 1/2 days. My surgery was Thursday and I came home Saturday. The worst part was being in the recovery room for so long. I was practically knocked out thanks to my friend Mr Morphine. I felt bad for my family though who had to remain out in the waiting room from noon until 9:30pm. We were waiting on a room on the bariatric floor of OSU Hospital. I wouldn't have wanted to go anywhere else though. I did end up getting to be roommates with Karen Watts, my surgery buddy. I got lots of calls and my new friend Kris came to visit me. My family was there alot visiting which I loved. My mom would show up at 6am because I'd be awake at 5am calling her (I'm such a baby). Lucky for my husband I called her instead of him, LOL. I am now 6 days postop. I am eating just fine. I am making sure to watch everything. I am on a pureed diet. I have pain and soreness in my left side which I expected with the Lap procedure due to how they move around inside your tummy during surgery. It's not unbearable though. The worst part is my sore back from laying on it so much and sitting back against it so much. I'm having a little trouble sleeping due to having to lay on my back. I'm a total side or stomach sleeper so I'm really looking forward to doing that again. I'll post more later. Thanks to all that checked up on me, my Angels are wonderful!!!! Thanks for the emails and the messages on my surgery page. I really appreciate it and it makes me feel so loved. HUGS, MUAH, Love your guts. -Tiff

::ANGEL WINGS A-FLAPPIN'::
I just spoke to Tiffiny and she's doing WONDERFULLY! Her surgery was yesterday, 1.31.02, and she has already had two meals today! (Okay, so they were broth and jello meals, but meals nonetheless!) Tomorrow her surgeon's going to start her on purees! Wow!
Tiffiny said she's feeling pretty darn good! She is still using her friend, the morphine pump, but has been up and about taking some walks!
I'm so excited for my "Angelette" who has made it to "The Lighter Side"...Way to go Tiff!!! It's all good from here on in! *Smile*
*Love Your Guts*
