2 1/2 months post op

sorry everyone i havnt been on here much lately, been so busy!! but its been almost 3 months now since i had the surgery, im down 51 lbs to 179!! im sort at a little stand still it seems for the last week, but thats ok, i cant believe that i have lost this much already, i feel like a totally different person!!  I have gained so much self confidence in just these past two and half months, its something i never seen coming!! oh oh oh and being able to fit into cute clothes, omg!!! that is the best feeling in the world!!

well after trying some different meds to get the nerve pain to go away i finally got rid of that, however, i have had the hiccups now everyday for almost three months every hour of every day!!  so at this point i dont know if it is going to be a life time of hiccups or what, it sucks, i hate it, sometimes i think it almost interfers with putting air in my stomach and making me not really wanting to eat!! going to talk to the doc about it, as it does just suck! i hate it!! never heard of anyone having hiccups perm because of this, i guess i could be the excpetion right!! haha

other than that, everything is great!! down from a size 16 to a size 12, which feels amazing!! 

ill try to get on here more, just been so crazy in the last month, that really havnt had the time!! but will make sure i take the time now!! take care all

3 WEEKS POST OP TODAY!!!

well i am 3 weeks post op today!! wish i could say that i was in great shape...... but i cant!! overall i feel good, but i am in miserable pain on my left side, there is no way to even describe it, it is a constant always there burning pain, a pain i have never felt like this before, i have been giving something for it now, suppose to take a week to get in my system and then start working but im on day 6 and it feels even worse!!  i got pain meds, good stuff that dont even touch it, there is nothing that i have taken that will make it stop or even not feel it for a hour out of the day!! i am at this point very miserable, i try to walk alot but that isnt helping either, sitting is terrible and makes it worse!! some people get it , some people dont, and me well i thought i was a tough cookie before this but im finding out im a wimp, i am crying every day because it hurts so bad! 

on the upside, i am not far from the 200 mark i am getting so excited to just get below 200, i was 234 first appt, then 228 day of surgery, and right now 206 so i am pretty excited to have lost 22 lbs in 3 weeks, i can defo tell a difference in my face the most.   foods and liquids i have no problems with, on soft foods now. 

so if was not for this awful pain i have on my left side and still the hiccups i would be ACE!!!!! something has to give i just dont know what!! i am just really miserable and dont know how long i can go like this!!!  every day like this cant go on, there is no way!!  especially when pain medicine dont even make it stop !!

5 days away!!!!

Whew!! 5 days away till the big day! Yep the nerves are setting in!! Most the day I do pretty good, till I am sitting around and yeah that is when i start thinking about everything! I talked the nurse at the hospital yesterday and got all registered, so all i need to do is report on wednesday march 25th at 11 15 am, and after that, its pretty much all she wrote folks.  Even tho i am nervous, i am so ready, ready to get it over with, and ready to begin my new life!!   I am so grateful to have my husband right there supporting me and doing everything and anything I need to get or have done.  He knows what i have went through with this whole weight issue and he is just happy for me, and that he knows how the outcome will be and how things cant get anything but better if you know what i mean hahahaha SHHHHHH i didnt say that!! But anyways, im sure i will be doing alot more blogging here in a few more days as it just helps a little bit and that to talk to everyone!!  Well im off to do some laundry and get everything cleaned and sorted this weekend so everything is in order for when i return from the hospital next weekend!! so till next time!! have a good one!!

LESS THEN A WEEK TILL SURGERY!!!

Well I think I am as prepared as i possibly could be at this point, surgery is less then a week away now, I have everything in place as far as my liquids and protein and everything that i will be able to have for the first few weeks, actually dont mind some of the things i have gotten for the protein drinks, so think I will be ok.   I think now its just a bit of nerves that are setting in, but I know in the long run its going to be so worth it,   A friend of mine that i met through a support group meeting for the gastric were taking some before pictures yesterday, so will have to get those posted, errrr and i just hate it, i never let anyone take any body pics of me before, but this time its different, because im leaving that in the past and looking forward to a new me, so i dont care anymore because a few months from now i wont look like that anymore!! well off to bed, another day closer!! till next time

Gathering things I need before surgery!!

Well went out today and decided to get a few things, got me a variety of different flavors of some crystal lights, I would much rather drink the propel haha, couldnt really find any of the crystal light that i liked except the strawberry kind, but they say your taste buds change after the surgery so maybe some of the other kinds i got will go down easier lol, after all i cant be choosy haha!! yep picked up that wonderful magnesium citrate stuff, yeah really looking forward to taking that the day before the surgery..... and yes i plan to stay at home that whole day !! picked up a food scale and a new food processor and a few other little things like that to just prepare and have things here for when i get out of the hospital and get home! because sending the hubby, i probably wont get what i wanted lol but he does try !! lol next week i will go and get me some cottage cheese and yogurts and such since the first week we can have that but blended and that works for me, just worried about the protein shakes, oh they are so bad,!! 

Its been really great to get on these website, really glad that i did, its great to read things and get the advice that i have been getting, its so helpful!!

Surgery Soon

Hey, everyone, my name is Wendy.  I am 31 years old and about 2 weeks away from my gastric bypass.  Getting very nervous, but I am so ready to finally make this step and do this.  I am 5ft3 and when i first started going to the surgeon i was right around 235 and my last appointment which was March 12th, i was down to 228, which i am hoping to shed a few more pounds by the time my surgery on March 25th.  Would be a good start!! I am new to this site and love to chat back and forth with people are going to have surgery or are thinking about it and of course those who have had it! I am so ready to start this life changing process and it is always nice to have people to talk to along the way!! Well so this is my introduction, I am one that will probably always be on here now that I heard about it, and do daily blogs of whats going on and stuff like that. Cant wait to get to know more of you !! Take care!!
