Started 6 months supervised diet January, 2007- completed June 18th. I have completed my 6mos supervised diet, my
husband by my side every step of the way, he is soo good to me. Dr Curry and his staff are wonderful. I am currently waiting for the approval from my insurance company, its been almost 3 weeks. Im really anxious for this to happen. I started at 234 lbs. I gained weight after the birth of my daughter 22 years ago, gained more when my mom passed away and even more when my father passed away. It seems like no matter what diet I try, I gain. UUGH!! We have searched WLS for over a year and decided the lap band is the right choice for me. I have been overweight since 1984, after the birth of my daughter, then my mom got sick with cancer and passed away in 85, then my father got sick with cancer and passed away in 98. I just gained more and more and it got outta control. I have tried a ton of diets, including doctor prescribed, and I would lose but after I went off of them, the weight came back with a vengence.
