Hello everyone. Let me say that I have enjoyed reading the blogs from the site and have even gotten a few answers already from the forums.
My name is Beverly and I am 46 years old. I have been married for 23 years and have a daughter 22 years old, a granddaughter 2 years old and another granddaughter due June 4, 2007. I am a State of Tennessee Employee and have been for the past 14 years.
I have been overweight for as long as I can remember. And I can not even remember when I became morbidly obese. I do know that I have had medical problems relating to it for several years and have been on medication for these medical problems for several years. I have tried for the past 2 years to get my primary care physician to refer me for surgery and he refused.
This year I got tired of trying to get him to help and decided to do what was necessary for me to live a healthiery life not only that but to continue to live. So I went in search of a new doctor. I am now in a 6 month Doctor Monitored Diet Plan that my insurance requires before it will cover the surgery. With any luck, I hope to have my surgery in the fall and be on the losers bench with all of you out there.
