Penny--Read your post about your battle with the sugar cookies, and I have to tell you, I AM there. Luckily, I see neither hide nor hare of such food any other time of year. I have struggled and I have cheated these last 2 weeks. But for me too it is at an end. Will the same problem hit me next year? Probably. BUT...believe me I will weigh myself daily when that time comes, and one extra pound will put a halt to that! Well...best of luck with the willpower. I think you might just have me beat out! I'm giving myself another week. Uggh. Take care.

Well its 10:30 Wednesday night...got back from the hospital a liitle bit ago and Penny was in good spirits...Happy to be eating some ICE !!! When i went there this morning she was a little tired ( from some restless sleep )..but she was happy ..she told me she got up @ 9 o'clock last night to take her first steps.I stayed their with her all day until i went home to pick up our daughter and came back up to see her.She was happy to see her.( the roses and family picture might have had something to do with it though )Her Mom showed up a little later and we all took a few laps around the hospital. She called a few minutes ago to talk to our 6 year old son , she was getting tired and fixen to go to sleep...hoping to get out either Thursday or Friday.......Until Then...........

Well its 9:45 on Tuesday Night( 5-15-01 ) I just left the hospital and Penny was in good spirits...The surgery went well , her back was giving her a little bit of discomfort though...The nurses were fixen to get her up to do a little bit of walking...<b> SHE'S ON HER WAY !!!!!! <b>

Renny, best wishes for your upcoming surgery. I had mine six months ago, and I have never had a single regret. Fortunately, the nervousness is over with when you wake up in the recovery room to your new life.
