What a wonderful and inspiring testimony!!. I enjoyed reading, and got happy for you. I too, know about those Lane Bryant's Clothes, and many other plus size stores. So I know how you feel. (smile)My procedure is slated for the 26th of December and your story had me giddy!! Keep focused and be happy. That is what life is all about. Hi AMOS Family, My 4.5 Plateau has finally broken; I lost 10 pounds! I'm weighing 195 and am finally below 200 pounds for the first time since 1976 (the year I got married)! I can't believe it. Hopefully my body has kicked back into gear and I can lose another 35 pounds before I have my hernia repair and tummy tuck. I'm so HAPPY! Hugs and best wishes to all... Hi AMOS Family, I found out today that I have a hernia on the right side of my abdomen, right next to my incision. For a few months I'd see about an egg-size protrusion and just figured it was my new stomach, but after a 2-week bout with sinusitis (which included LOTS of SNEEZING and NOSE BLOWING) the protrusion is the size of my fist. My PCP referred me to a surgeon and says I should get a call within 10 days to schedule a consultation. He also said that as long as the the hernia moves in and out of its place I'm safe, but that if I'm in a lot of pain and the hernia doesn't "hide" then it's strangulated and I will need emergency surgery. I'm REALLY SCARED! So far, it "hides" after a while but when it's protruding I have small panic attacks. I'm soliciting encouragement from anyone who's gone through the hernia ordeal; I need some good WLS loving. Thanks for being here!
