Best Wishes for a successful surgery and smooth recovery! Weigh to go! I just read another post from someone who just had surgery and the thing that hurts the most is their BACK. And it is PAINFUL, not just uncomfortable. THE LAST THING YOU NEED TO TELL YOUR SURGEON, BEFORE THEY PUT YOU UNDER, IS TO PUT SOMETHING UNDER YOUR KNEES TO TAKE THE PRESSURE OFF YOUR BACK!!! Time and time again folks are coming out of the O.R. and their back is killing them. It’s because you are lying flat on your back for hours on a hard surface. How long can you do that now? If the surgeon will just put a rolled up blanket under your knees this problem will be eliminated! Got It?... Good…. Problem solved. (Or at least talk it over with him/her).

Shawn, I wanted to wish you the Best of Luck for a successful surgery and a smooth, painfree recovery. I'll be thinking of you on Dec 26. Please make sure they take care of your sleep apnea, if it turns out that you have it. Again, all the Best to you!

Shawn, Thought I would give you an update on mine to put your mind at ease. Had my surgery on Wednesday, 12/17 and came home yesterday 12/19 early in the morning. I feel wonderful. A little soreness at the incision site but no other pain. Only discomfort in the hospital was in order to urinate. They tell me that you must pass gas before leaving. I ate vegetable soup the day before going into the hospital and passed gas almost immediately after surgery, I think it was the fiber. I feel great now. This has been much easier than I anticipated. Staff at the hospital were wonderful as well as the doctors. I'm excited for you and will keep you in my prayers as you go forward.
