Sheesh, I am REALLY bad at blogging, lol! Apparently I check in on this page about once every THREE years?! Gosh, time is flying. So, where to start since last I wrote?! Let's see...Well, that "failed" relationship that I posted about back in 2007 wound up im a MARRIAGE in 2008, lol! The heart wants what the heart wants, I suppose?! He wanted me and fought to get me back and we have been inseperable ever since.
Also, we did a relocation back in 2009 to upstate NY and I enrolled in NURSING school after being let go from my old jobl as of January 2010!! I actually am about 4 weeks away from GRADUATION!! I can't hardly wait! I am so excited & nervous at the same time. I plan to go on for my RN and eventually my master's degree so I can become a Nurse Practitioner. I absolutely adore this field and truly belive that I finally found my calling in life!

OMG!!!! PLEASE forgive me for not keeping up my profile here! I have had SO much going on in the last THREE years..( Gosh, has it really been that long?!?!?)
ANYWAY... needless to say, I have gone from a whopping 317 pounds on my date of surgery to 200 lbs!!! I still want to lose approximately 30 pounds to get to my own personal goal...BUT, otherwise I couldn't be happier nor healthier.

Alot has happened since I posted here last! Let's see...I quite my job of about 1 & 1/2 years due to my a**hole boss! I couldn't deal with his arrogance, and condescending attitude towards women. I dealt with him for as long as I could and then one day, I just walked OUT. Now, mind you, everyone HATED this man..so , I am VERY proud to say that I got a standing ovation & a rousing round of applause from my peers the day I left!! I felt very empowered!!
That, however, did not last for long..cuz now I had NO JOB!! LOL..anyway to make a LONG story short..I found a job just a few weeks later that I thought would be great & it turned out to be a TOTAL bust and they FIRED me after 30 days!! I was DEVESTATED! Never in my LIFE had I ever been FIRED! I had always been one of those people that performed exceptionaly well in the work arena & that was a TOTAL slap in the face as far as I was concerned. I went into a bit of a depression, but fortunately my supportive boyfriend, Daufhin, was there to ease the pain and encourage me! ( Oh, yea..I started dating this guy about 9 months after my surgery!)
So, after a few months of being unemployed and building a nice little relationship with my guy, I got a phone call from my good friend Amanda at my OLD job! Since we last spoke, my old boss got fired ( LMAO) and my friend Amanda got promoted to Supervisor of the call center! Amanda had spoken to Jose ( the supervisor of our medical records dept.) and he asked about ME! I had interviewed with Jose shortly before I quit( someone else got the position), BUT he now had another position and he wanted to know if I was available!! WOO-HOO!!
Needless to say, I was VERY available! So I got re-hired at my OLD job in September 27th, 2005 as a medical records coordinator. I was very happy. Jose was a GREAT boss and a cool person in general.
After about 5 months at the new position, my boyfriend, Daufhin, asked me to MOVE IN with him!! ( we had been dating for just over a year.) Despite some initial hesitation, I said yes( we had been having some growing pains in our relationship a few months prior ) & we began our apartment hunt.
We found a place in April but the only problem was , it was in the Poconos, in Pennsylvania! Mind you I lam from New Jersey! BIG Step, right? Yea, I was a bit afraid but so excited and hopeful for the future! So , we said" What the hell "& went for it. It was SOOO pretty 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms a HUGE workshed/ garage out side and surrounded by woods! Very peaceful & we BOTH needed that!
(Oh, yea around the same time, Daufhin got laid off from HIS job of 8 years...luckily I was able to help get him in at MY company!!)
Well, let's just say that peaceful, easy feeling didn't last for long! The commute from East Stroudsburg to Parsippany everyday was a NIGHTMARE!! I thought I was losing my mind from the lack of sleep that I experienced during the 8 months that we were up there!! Between that and what became CONSTANT fighting between my bf and I .. I cried all the time and just wanted to leave. So, we did! We decided to move back to Jersey on the 1st of December.
( By the way, the one GOOD thing about this time frame, I applied for & GOT a promotion to Provider Relations Specialist at my company!! I was thrilled with the new responsibility & the much needed & quite substantial pay increase! lol)
Sadly, all the trials and tribulations during that time caused me to become very unhappy in my relationship with Daufhin and although we moved back to Jersey together, irocically, to his old apartment , I chose to end things with him and moved out the middle of January. I really did give it the old college try!! We just had too many different ideas about which way we were headed in the future & how people were " supposed" tO behave in relationships, etc. Happily, we are still good friends and we still work at the same place...different departments, thank goodness..lol!!
Well, I guess that me in a nutshell!?! Ta ta for now! I PROMISE I won't be away so long this time!! Take care!!
