Hey everyone....I'm back....I look forward to hearing from you all!  :)  Let me catch you up.....

From Nov '07 to a couple months ago...my life was turned upside down with taking care of my neices and unfortunately, I gained back 32lbs I had lost.  UGH!  I'm not gonna beat myself up about it because I must admit....it was the most stressful time in my life....ever....so far.  But the good news is that I have gotten back on track now and have lost 16 of those 32lbs. 

So, I hope to be more faithful to my blog and I hope that some of you find it interesting....

Just want everyone to know that I'm a little bit busier than I use to be as I received temporary custody of my 3 neices (6 yr, 4 yr, & 1yr) at the first of Nov.  Needless to say, I dropped about 4 pounds the first week I had them!  We are all doing good and looking forward to a wonderful Christmas.  Even though I don't keep in touch very well on here, I do update my weight-ticker often....

Couple things.....
Plateau is FINALLY gone...sheesh...I was stuck at 60lbs for like 3 weeks.  I wasn't getting discouraged though....I knew it would eventually kick back in.  PLUS....I got a fill and let me tell ya.  I can really feel this one.  I thought I was eating slow before!!!  I hate that feeling when your food get stuck going down....does anyone else have that problem?  Where you feel like you have to burp and the only way to get rid of that pain is for someone to bang the heck out of your back or throw it up?  Maybe it's just me...but it's one of the most painful things I've ever experienced.....so I've slowed WAY down.  And I kinda have to eat "undistracted" now so that I can concentrate on chewing real good and paying attention to my body....otherwise I get stopped up.  Does anyone else out there know what I'm talking about?  :)

Well, I still have the pain in my right side...however....now I know EXACTLY what it is. IT'S MY PORT!!!  Ok...before you start saying "duh" and stuff.  Here's why I didn't realize what it was before.  When I stand up, my port/pain is right under my right breast...like right where your gallbladder would be....up high in the ribs.  But when I lay down (when I get a fill) I am injected in my port which has now moved DOWN to my large scar which is right above my belly botton on the right side.  How the heck does it move like 4 inches?  But sure enough....I saw it on the ultrasound while I was standing and while I was laying down and it was in two different places each time.  So....call me crazy, but I never realized that ports can move!  So now, I'm stuck....I can't exactly remove my port cause it's causing me pain....so I'm gonna try to figure out a way to exercise and stuff without it moving.  Ace bandage my upper ribs or something.  If anyone has any suggestions, that would be great!  Thanks!

And that's about it.  I have a wedding to go to at the end of September in NE and I bought a new dress....it's a little snug in the tummy area but I'm hoping by the end of Sept it'll fit perfect. :)  Wish me luck!

Due to issues that are just too ridiculous to comprehend, I have currently cancelled my gallbladder surgery.  Luckily I know what to do to NOT irritate it so I'll just keep doing that for now.  

My weight loss is still going great!  60lbs and it's almost 4 months!  :)

Although I am not happy about having surgery again, my body leaves me no choice....  Luckily it'll be (hopefully) easier than the Lap-Band surgery...especially when it comes to recovery.  We'll see.

Other than that, life is great.  My weight is on a steady decline and that's just perfect.  Again, Thank You God for giving me the chance to have the Lap-Band surgery.  I don't think that I realized just how miserable I was.  But I was.  

So, August 22nd...in the afternoon sometime....I get to be on them funky drugs that breaks my "give a damn" and smile foolishly like I actually understand what people are saying to me.  Oh wait....I do that everyday!  (the smile foolishly part...not the funky drugs part)  :)

P.S...Hi Betty!  :)  Glad I got to see ya!!  :)

I've got a date set for a consultation for my gallbladder removal.  Same surgeon...YES!!  I don't wanna do another surgery....dang it!  I wonder if the hospital will do a buy-one-get-one free for me!  Ha Ha!  I'll keep everyone posted for round two.  Think I should see if he'll take the appendix out too? 

I have decided that I have the best surgeon on the planet.  Not only does he work magic in the OR and in his office....but he has ESP too!!!!    I'm still a little confused, because I still don't have any of the major symptoms....but the ultrasound showed that I have gallstones.  Goody Goody Gumdrops!  I'm not sure what route to take now.    

They are definately painful so they're gonna have to go soon.    (I love this stoned face)
I just wish I could put it off for a while!  I just had surgery...ya know?  

Oh well, that's all I know.....if anyone out there has had this, please let me know what to expect!  Thanks a million!

Well, the pain below my right breast is just getting worse and harder.  Dr. seems to think it's my gall bladder but after taking an on-line survey where I only had 1 symptom out of 12, I don't think that's what it is.  Plus...it's a muscle thing.  When I use those muscles, they are either sore or hurt so bad it stops me in my tracks.  Either way, the ultrasound will show what's going on....hopefully.

My weight loss is at a stand-still.  Gotta love those plateau's!!!  It's funny how you can eat nothing, work your butt off and not loose a pound.  Bodies are soooo weird!!  :)   But I can't complain.  I'm doing great!

Hi all,

First of all, sorry to all of you that I owe a reply to on my e-mail list.  I've been SO busy....I promise...I'll catch up soon.  

Remember how I was wanting another fill so fast, etc....and then they couldn't find my port...etc etc.  Well,  I went in to get my "band adjustment" at our Radiology Dept at my hosp. and let me tell ya.  WOW!  Now I know what they were talking about in my nutrition class about getting too full, eating slowly, and unfortunately the pain of when it's trying to pass into your pouch.  Holy Cow!  It's an unusual pain that is definately teaching me to slow down!  Up until now, I was able to eat like normal....not now.  Again, WOW!  During the day I use to snack on nuts and jello and wheat thins....ALL of that intake is gone now.  I only eat my meals.  It's awesome....the whole Lap-Band thing.  What a cool thing to go through.  

And so now, I have a huge pain under my right breast.  (It's about  6 inches above my port)  It has slowly gotten worse and worse and I'm wondering if it's a hernia.  My job is a lot of lifting and bending plus I've been doing a lot of painting at my Mom's new place....so now I'm concerned about that.  It started right after my surgery....mild pain....and with time it's gotten worse.  Last night, it was stopping me in my tracks.  Anyone have any suggestions or thoughts of what it might be?  I'm gonna try to see my doctor next week....and take it easy between now and then.

Went in for my second fill today....no luck.    Poor Dr. T poked and poked for a good 30 minutes with that huge a$$ needle and couldn't find that dang port.  I told him my stomach ate it!    He had a really hard time finding it on my first fill...but this time was impossible.   So now I have to go get an x-ray and stuff and have someone besides Dr. T fill my port.  Hopefully this will be the only time.  Hopefully with the x-rays, it'll help Dr. T in the future.  Keep your fingers crossed for me.  

Other than that, things are perfect.  I lost another 11lbs in the last month which he says is right on track.  I'm hoping to start getting into some old clothes from years ago this summer.  I have so many pairs of shorts that use to fit.  We'll see....
