On the losing side

Jun 06, 2007

6/12/2006 I am finally on the losing side!!!!!!! A bandster for life. Surgurey went well, but I must admit I thought the recovery process was going to be a lot easier. From all the other profiles I looked at said that they were feeling just fine after sugery and ready to take long walks through the hall od the hospital right afterward. To say the least......NOT ME !!!! I had even made plans for the weekend following the surgery(Tuesday) After waking and feeling the pain I felt differently about going to Dave&Busters on Saturday. The incisions were painful to the touch. My whole body was very achy, and it was difficult for me to move. I slept the entire day into the next afternoon. The liquid perscription given to me tasted like "Tussin" and didn't releive anything. After a few days of moving more and more each day I felt 100% better. Moving makes a difference. *** By the way be prepared to learn to sleep on your back**** It starts to get tired after a while (don't pardon the pun.... I did it on purpose. LOL Six days later/10 pounds lighter and happy about it. Who ever said this was the "Easy way out" was improperly informed. I am hungry ALL the Time. The same 'ol jello, gatorade, hot tea, and water started to get to me and I started doing the weirdest thing.....chewing baked chicken then spitting it out (just for the flavor). By the way plain broth smells and tastes like my dog Diva's food. I recommend buying chicken noodle soup and straining it. Tastes great!!!!!
