Well, almost 8 years post RNY and i'm approved 100% for a breast lift!! My big day is January 13th in Des Moines with Dr. Yen,(who is WONDERFUL) which just so happens to be my sons 4th birthday. My only reason for doing is it the fact that it's a tuesday and my son will be in school. along with the fact that the next available date was the end of Feb. and i need to be working full time by then. Oh i'm so excited!! I thought for sure i'd be denied... It took them 5 weeks to even respond to the Dr. office and then it didn't sound very good. The were asking the dr for more documentation to support medical necessity, and we didn't have more documentation. But low-and- behold the next evening at 5:30 the office got a fax saying APPROVED!!!! yahoo!!!!!!!!!!
I'm going to do implants as well, but i'm doing it in 2 procedures so I can have to best results (and there was NO way insurance would pay if we submitted for implants and a lift). So i'll recover from the lift and when i have the money i'll do implants. I'm thinking about 6 months to a year. At least that's 6 months to a year without these floppy things i am supposed to call boobs
