I just attended my first meeting of the bariatric support group at Olathe Medical Center. It was very informative. I met several patients that had the surgery anywhere from 10 days to 18 months ago, as well has folks like me that are in the early stages of the process. It was very helpful to talk to others about their experiences and to see the dramatic results.
My first consult with Dr. Opie will be on 4/29.
I work at Sprint and I already know that my insurance plan will not cover this procedure. This should cut out a lot of waiting and uncertainty, I hope.
