Wow, its been a year. Truly amazing. My life has changed dramatically and of course all for the better. I no longer take any medication for diabetes after having been insulin dependent, I have joined Curves and go 3 times a week, legs and back don't hurt anymore, total weight loss is 103. This surgery was the best thing I could have done!

Had my first follow up with Dr Anez today. I've lost 20 pounds in 10 days. Things are wonderful. Start weight 303 12/16 283

WOW --- I feel great. Had my surgery on Wednesday, went home Friday and today is Sat. I feel wonderful and excited about the future.

Best Wishes for a successful surgery and smooth recovery! Weigh to go! I just read another post from someone who just had surgery and the thing that hurts the most is their BACK. And it is PAINFUL, not just uncomfortable. THE LAST THING YOU NEED TO TELL YOUR SURGEON, BEFORE THEY PUT YOU UNDER, IS TO PUT SOMETHING UNDER YOUR KNEES TO TAKE THE PRESSURE OFF YOUR BACK!!! Time and time again folks are coming out of the O.R. and their back is killing them. It’s because you are lying flat on your back for hours on a hard surface. How long can you do that now? If the surgeon will just put a rolled up blanket under your knees this problem will be eliminated! Got It?... Good…. Problem solved. (Or at least talk it over with him/her).
