Hello Audrey, I am so excited for you. I think you are doing a wonderful thing for YOU and your child. I too have turned this over to the Lord and feel completely at peace with my decision to have WLS. My son is 24, my only regret is missing out on alot of his life. He loves me so much and is very happy for me to finally have a tool to help me lose weight. I think your fears are common, any surgery has its risks but as I read this message board religiously I have not heard one person regret having WLS. Good luck to you and my deepest wishes for a great new life ahead of you. PEACE

I wish you good luck with your surgery. I had my Open RNY on Dec. 10, 2001 and am so happy that I did. It was the best thing I could have done for myself. May God bless you with an uneventful surgery and a quick, complication free recovery.

Audrey, congratulations on your upcoming surgery. May you be blessed with an easy surgery and a rapid, painless recovery. Remember to drink your water, take your vitamins, walk daily and most importantly, be kind to yourself along the way.
