"My surgeon is Dr. Richards @ Vanderbilt University. My first impression of him was that he was very thorough and professional in his exam. His office staff is terrific! Dr. Richards is a no nonsense doctor. He's good at what he does and he wants to help. He has a very good Clinical Nutritionist who is very involved in his after care. Their is a structured post-op program. He was very up front about the risks and benefits of the surgery. TOP NOTCH! I prefer surgical cometence to bedside manner. He can be a jerk if he chooses, but I want him to be a trained and experieince surgeon. I'm not paying him to be my friend, I'm paying him to do surgery."
