Hi Jonathan....Congratulations on your surgery! I am having surgery on Monday, the 5th! I will be having surgery at the North Florida Regional Medical Center in Gainesville. Is that where you will be going? I believe your surgeon is in the same group as mine, Dr. Sarantos. I haven't found too many people in the Gainesville area. I live in San Mateo. I think it is great that you are trying to start a healthier you before Tuesday. Best Wishes for a successful surgery and smooth recovery! Weigh to go! I just read another post from someone who just had surgery and the thing that hurts the most is their BACK. And it is PAINFUL, not just uncomfortable. THE LAST THING YOU NEED TO TELL YOUR SURGEON, BEFORE THEY PUT YOU UNDER, IS TO PUT SOMETHING UNDER YOUR KNEES TO TAKE THE PRESSURE OFF YOUR BACK!!! Time and time again folks are coming out of the O.R. and their back is killing them. It’s because you are lying flat on your back for hours on a hard surface. How long can you do that now? If the surgeon will just put a rolled up blanket under your knees this problem will be eliminated! Got It?... Good…. Problem solved. (Or at least talk it over with him/her).
