Daryl: I just wanted to let you know that I had the same experience with my WLS surgery on 8/2/01. When my doctor opened me up he found an abnormality of my liver and took slides, pictures and did a liver biopsy and closed me back up. He has since spoken with a specialist at the University of Virginia Medical Center who suggested that he send me to a liver specialist and get clearance if he finds nothing before going ahead with the surgery. This will not be done until after Labor Day. So, after reading my post it made me feel a lot better because it sounds like you have exactly the same thing as what he found in me. He said I had mild cirrhosis of the liver but my liver enzymes tests were normal, clotting factors were normal and all the hepatitis studies were negative. I will continue to pray that things go well for you on August 30th. Maybe I can have the surgery scheduled again real soon.

daryl sooo sorry your surg did not go as planned but your so right that you had a good dr that stopped to re evaluate the situation thank God for that. my prayers are that all will clear up and if you want to go ahead with your surg at a later date. God bless glenda berry
