Heather, I wish you well with your VBG. I had the same thing done a bit over seven years ago only to regain everything I had lost and more. Please remember it is very easy to cheat on, therefore you have to really watch yourself. I didn't have good information when I had mine done, therefore I was a failure. I wish you well and would love hearing how you are doing. Good Luck! Mary

I had open VBG on the 15th of MAY. My recovery was longer but the end result is the same. It does get better. You hang in there...so will I. Keep in touch.

I was in the hospital for 2 days only due to the surgery being Laproscopic. Last night was my first night home and it was AWFUL thanks to the pain meds. Wow, they made me feel so sick. Demerol I think. Needless to say I gave them up. Today I have ate 1/2 ounce of jello 2x and drank some water. I am feeling pretty good with only a little discomfort.
