Hi everyone! I had my surgery last Wednesday,
May 17 and came home a couple days ago and am doing very well. I just can't believe it's all over and I'm home recovering. It seems like time goes by so quickly. I had a very successful surgery and have nothing but good things to say about Mayo Clinic Hospital in AZ and Dr. Kelly and his staff. I was taken exception care of. I was fortunate to have an epidural and didn't feel some of the pain as other members of this site. So far these past two days at home, I have done okay on the pureed foods. Like others, having a hard time getting all my water in. I'm having a hard time getting comfortable and sleeping. I've tried my bed, the recliner and the couch, so hopefully this will get better. I'm a little restless and a little bored, and have to keep telling myself not to do too much for two weeks and to let my body heal. Our bodies have gone through a tremendous amount of trauma and changes and I have to remember that. I hope everyone has the same successful surgery that I have had and I'm looking forward to getting better every day. I'm haven't posted much to this site, but I truly appreciate all the well wishes and prayers that were sent to me. Take care to all and look forward to reading everyone's posts. Prayers to all! Conny
