Hey, I have been approved for surgery. I am so happy. All I have to do now is get my medical clearance letter from my doctor. All the tests are complete and as far as I know everything looks good. God is so good! Only 6 days to go now. I am excited.

Peggy, I have known of people that have literally been approved right before they were put to sleep. Most doctors office will start calling and bugging the insurance company for approval since you have a date scheduled. Don't stress out...let the doctors office handle the financial details. Best of wishes to you. KimmieTN

Hi Peggy, Your question about alcohol comes up occassionally on the board, and I'm sure most people would tell you that the doctor thinks you should wait a year! I had lap RNY on 1/30/03 and I will have a glass of wine every once in a while. I asked my doctor and he said not a problem just don't over do it. I had my first drink 3 weeks after surgery. Best wishes.

I had an endoscopy on my stomach yesterday and the doctor found multiple polyps. I am so worried that this is going to delay my surgery. Has anyone had a problem like this? The doctor removed eight of them and they are being biopsied but I have to wait and see about the results. Please pray that everything goes as scheduled. I have been so blessed by getting the surgery date I wanted and all the other tests went so perfectly. I would hate for this to goof things up now.
