Well, I know you won't believe this. I have a hard time believing it myself. My doctor called to tell me he has postponed my surgery again. I know it's for the best, but it's very discouraging. He wants time to discuss my case with other experts in the field. I'll write again once I know more.

Dear Benny, I was sorry to read of your setback in surgery. I know how you feel as I just returned home today from the hospital WITHOUT having mine. I was put under and everything! They just couldn't intubate me. They injured my throat and I was bleeding so the doctor called it off until my throat is better. I am thankful for his good judgement, but a little disappointed...I know my turn will be here soon. I hope your endoscopy turns out to be OK. If you have had acid reflux in the past, that's probably all it is. Your turn is coming too! :)

Well my doctor called me to tell me all of my tests results are positive. Evidently it was only that one section and he feels he took all of it out. He does feel the gastric bypass surgery is the best thing for me. This should eliminate all of the acidity that stays around my esophagus. My new surgery date will be 11/27/01.

Well I recieved a setback. Yesterday, 9/19 I went in for pre opt test. One was an endoscopy which revealed some abnormal cells where the esophagus and the stomach meet. I had to do a second endoscopy and will know the results by the end of the week. If everything is ok, I am rescheduled for Tuesday 9/27. Thank you for your prayers and encouragements.
