4/3-I was having trouble finding where to update this website. I am now 11 days Post-op and am feeling much better. I am not as uncomfortable as I was. I am tolerating foods well, and I feel much better about doing this then I did. When I first had the surgury done I was upset with myself because I was feeling very very bad. I couldn't get comfortable with the pain and the not being able to eat. Right before I had the sugery I went on a cruise, sort of my last horah, and I did not buy any of the pictures the professionals take because I did not like the way I came out. Every picture I looked so big. But I enjoyed the cruise anyway and ate whatever I wanted because I knew that 5 days after I got home I was having the surgury. Well after the surgury I thought what a big mistake I made. I was so angry. I was angry at myself, and everyone around me. I would not even accept visitors not even my kids whom I love more then life itself. Anyway I got my cruise pictures back and I have to say it turned me around because after looking at myself I said now this is why I had this surgury, because I look like this. Now I feel better and am glad to have done this. By the way a great tip for getting alot of protein, is to drink a protien drink for breakfast. Most are over 20grams and you just about meet your daily requirement. Anyway just wanted you to know I am doing much better mentally and physically. I also got my staples out today, and seeing my surgeon, I know why I choose him. He is just a nice guy. and so is Joan, who is his secr'y. They are very caring and I would recommend them very highly. Oh I lost 16lbs so far.

well surgury's less then 48 hours away. I just got back from vacation so I haven't really stressed about this yet. But tonite I am getting jittery. I called the Dr and told him to have a tranquilizer waiting for me pre-op. I have some at home I will have to take one to help me sleep tomorrow. I am excited and nervous at the same time. I just can't wait to be on the smaller side. To shop at normal stores, and to be able to wear those stupid tiny little paper thiings they give you at the Dr's offices. Besides the billion other little things that other people take for granted. I am getting heart palpatations I am so excited. anyway, I will update this once I feel well enough to. I will talk to you soon.

Lisa, best wishes for your upcoming surgery. I had mine four months ago, and I have never had a single regret. Fortunately, the nervousness is over with when you wake up in the recovery room to your new life.
