Hi Ruthann, congrats on your progress so far! I hope all goes smoothly for you! I am also 5'3 and weight at surgery was 278 lbs. 6 months out I have lost 83 lbs and bunches of inches! I am considered a "slow loser" but I am happy with my results and the way my skin is responding, won't need a tummy tuck! Just wanted to give you a preview for you to get excited about! Before I had surgery I would search for people with my stats to see how it was going to get an idea what could be for me! Keep us informed on your date! Best, Best wishes! Tricia

Hi RuthAnn...about your post regarding your not being ready for surgery 2 years ago. Don't regret those 2 "wasted" years. Try to think of them as affirmation of your decision to have WLS. Welcome to the "Losers Club". I hope you get a surgery date quickly and can begin your new life.
