Devi-I am out now on my 3rd month and have lost 50 pounds! I have NEVER lost that much and felt so good. This surgery is the best thing I ever did FOR ME! The best to you amos sister! Cheryl in CT

Devi...wow pretty soon your surgery will be over and you will be on your way. I had an open RNY 5 weeks ago and doing great. Little pain and pain meds. Had no problems post op at all. I hope that you can find some time before surgery to have some peace of mind in knowing you have made the best decision for yourself. Good luck on your surgery and keep us posted. Mari Seattle

Dear Devi: I am 7 weeks out from surgery and have lost nearly 50 pounds! It is not an easy surgery but you will be so thankful once it is completed and you start to feel better. DEMAND adequate pain control (get your family involved if needed), do the breathing exercises and WALK WALK WALK! Blessings to you on your journey! Cathy

Hey Devi, Your friend who is 3 days out, she can't be trusted! ROFLMAO!!! Believe me! I am not 12 days out and that three day thing is a thing of the past. Yes it's tuff, but guess what? It is so way past worth it. Chin up girlfriend, you will be around the corner before you know it and worrying will be a thing of the past!!
