5/8/01 10:06 p.m. I talked to Christina's mom today and she reported that Christina had been up walking! She is sore, but doing well. She is uncomfortable, but pain is managable. Looks like if things stay on track, Christina will be going home on Friday! Let's all wish her our best for a speedy recovery! Welcome to the other side my friend...you're new life has just begun!!

Chris had an OK morning but this afternoon and evening could be a whole lot better. They have started weaning her off the epidural and she has requested that we PRAY!! She is in a considerable amount of pain. Although medically speaking she is doing well, she's very uncomfortable. Thanks to all of you that have called or posted...it means more than you know. She sends her love to all.

Hey Chris......was there ever any doubt? We serve an awesome God....and He actually did the surgery with a little help from the surgeons. :) I'm sooo happy to hear you did so well and were already joking (should I have doubted that either?). Keep up the progress, only don't push too hard too fast. You'll be thinner day by day and soon I'll be really jealous :) Take care. Thanks for the quick update! Love you! Judy

Hi, I'm Chris' angel and I wanted to let everyone know she came through the surgery beautifully. I was very happy to see her wheeled through those doors awake and although groggy, still the Chris we know and love. The doctor said everything went very well. She was in her room by 2:00 p.m. today. She was very tired and sore when I left her, but excited about her future. She can still joke even through all this...she's an awesome woman! If I don't see her every day, I will talk to her and keep this site updated. Right now...the future's so bright, we're all wearing shades!!
