Mandy, You go girl!! we have been friends for 15 years now, we have been through allot of laughter and tears. I am thinking about you this week and I love you. You have always been a beautiful lady to me but I cant wait to see the new *you* I wish i were closer so i could take care of you after your surgery. It pains my heart that you wont have some one staying with you to take care of you. You have always known just what to say when i was down to put a smile on my face and I wish i could be there for you. I am happy for you and excited for you and looking forward to seeing your life change for the better. All my love to my best friend, Carla

4-13-02 Hi Amanda! Oh, your day is so soon. Don't get down now girl!! I have the same problem as you, no support system. My husband is not too thrilled and just says"whatever will make you happy honey" and my "best friend" isn't even interested when I call her with exciting updates. But you know what? I decided that I don't really need their support as much as I thought I did because I know this is right for me and I know that I can do it. Just keep thinking how much better you are going to feel and look three or four months down the road. Hang in there and e-mail me if you need someone to talk to. It would help me too to have someone to share news with. I am just in the beginning stages with my first doctor's appointment on June 4, 2002. So I have a long way to go. My prayers are with you.

Hi Amanda, I'm sorry you are having a bad time right now and I know you need all the support you can get - can you call your doctor's office and get the names of any post ops or support group for assistance. There was a post on here for someone wanting to hook folks up that needed an angel - her name was Renee, but if you look in the section here for angel support, I am sure you will make a connection. I hope that these suggestions help a little. Just know that this site is here to give you a spiritual hug and encouragement albeit long distance. ~Venus
