I talked to Deb tonight. She is going home tomorrow! The nurses have told her how wonderfully she is doing and they wish all their patients did as well as she has done. She sounded alert and in very good spirits!

I just spent from 10 am to 4 pm with Deb at the hospital. Her husband had to go back to their home 2 hours away this morning. She was in a lot of pain, but they got her up and walking. She got in a chair around 1:00 and was still in the chair at 4 when I left. She walked the halls and also used the potty. LOL She was VERY glad to have her NG tube removed this morning. They are moving her to a regular floor as soon as they have a bed. She has been in Surgical Intensive Care. (Our doctor requires this for the day after surgery) She is dying for a sip of water, but of course, she will have to wait until after her leak test tomorrow. All in all, I would say her recovery is going well and she is making great progress! Keep up the prayers. Diane

I just got off the phone with Deb. She sounded a little tired and she said she was in some pain. She should be moving to a regular room sometime today. While I was talking to her someone from physical therapy came in to get her up and walking. I will talk with her later on this evening and let you know more. She wanted me to say "Thank You" to everyone for your prayers.
