Good luck on your upcoming surgery Julie. My surgery is May 3rd, only 4 days after you!! I'm so excited for both of us. I've been cleaning house, too. Trying to do early spring cleaning and getting ready for a rummage sale at the end of May. I'll still be on leave from my job and I won't want to do much lifting or anything but I have alot to get rid of, especially with all the cleaning I've been doing! Where does it all come from?? Spring is finally here in Minnesota. Is it still pretty cool in AL? My bro-in-law lives in Kenai and the weather is usually about 3-4 weeks behind us. Julie, I am wishing you a successful, complication-free surgery and a smooth, quick recovery. I had my open RNY on 12/10/01 and have absolutely NO regrets other than not having done it several years sooner. It is, without a doubt, the best thing I could have done for myself. God bless you as you begin your healthy new life.

Hi Julie! How are you girl?? I think about you and pray for you every day! Twenty-nine days to go. I am so proud of you! I am five weeks post op now and down 37 lbs. Every day has it's successes and every day brings different emotions and issues. But you can do it, and we will be successful together. Every day brings us closer to our goals and our dreams. Every day teaches us new lessons. Soemtimes I am sad... I think I will never enjoy food again and I grieve the loss... but what I am gaining totally overcomes that. I am gaining a new healthy life and a new appreciation for myself. I am important, I am worth taking care of, and I will be successful. And I know all of that will come true for you as well.
