Gene, There is nothing wrong about being informed about what could be a surgical complication but don't obsess about the "what if's". Let me tell you a better horror story to think of. Existing the way that you are with the current health issues and it only continuing to get worse if you do not get your surgery. HUMM..a different slant but that was all that it took for me. Thinking of being in my old body for another year was so horrible that nothing else compared. Keep those nerves in check, make some goals for yourself. Think of how much better you will feel as the weight drops. Come on line for some postive support. God bless and keep on moving towards living instead of dying from obesity. KimmieTN@goal

Hello Gene - I noticed that your surgery date is coming up. I wanted to say <b>Congratulations!!</b> My prayers and best wishes are with you as you take the first steps down the path to a healthier and thinner you. I look forward to your "updates" to your profile as it progresses. Know that you are not alone and that there are MANY of us that will have you in our prayers on your very special day. Dont forget to walk, walk, WALK right after surgery, no matter how tired you are......AND drink that protein, lots and lots of it. Gene - May 16th is right around the corner. Trust me, I have been at this for a while as I am sure you have, and it rolls right on you. I think we are in for the ride of our lives. Thanks for posting, and I will stay in touch. Best of luck, and be safe.

All the best to you on your upcoming date, see you on the other side, this is my second surgery the first one failed, so thats why they have to do it opened.
