Bren I am from Missouri also very close to you and I am having surgery 4-11-02. Good luck on hysterectomy I had one in May of 2000. Was not as bad as I thought. I will say a prayer for you. Lisa

Just wanted to wish you well - you will do great! I had mine on the 20th at 8 am, was up walking the same day and came home yesterday (Sunday). Everyone told me it would be sooo much worse than my C-section but I thought it was comparable and I had little pain. I understand your anxiety, I was SOO nervous when I went, I kissed my kids and my husband and went for it. I will keep you in my prayers. Billie

I wanted to give you some support. Non-obese people won't understand, but you are entitled to a whole life and this is one (the only one I know)to take the wt off and keep it off. My husband Bob had surgery 2 mos. ago and before surgery his friends told him he was "nuts". Now that they see how great he's doing they told him that he did the right thing. It might just take seeing the difference in you to change their minds. May God bless you with a safe surgery and a speedy recovery and more moral support.

Hi, Bren: Congrats on your surgery. Had mine done in Southepointe Hospital 1 Sep 00. They treated me wonderfully. Hope everything goes as well for you! If you are really nervous and scared when you report in (well, duh, weren't we all!), ask for something to calm you down. Whatever they gave me, knocked me out and I slept from pre-op to ICU! Good stuff! Try to remember, you will soon be on your way to a new, skinnier life! You and your son will be in my prayers and thoughts. (((HUGS))) Pat
